 Protective coatings for corrosion control:
a. Select coating systems by type of surface and use as specified in
AFM 85-3.
b. Do not use newly developed coating systems. Air Force facilities
should not be a testing ground for new products unless specifically
authorized by HQ PACAF.
c.
Insure proper surface preparation.
d.
Test coatings at a reputable laboratory to insure specs are met.
e.
Insure proper construction inspection.
