Structural Supports For Open-Wire Lines.  Structural supports for
open-wire transmission lines shall be as specified for antenna supports
(Section 9 of this manual), with the following modifications:
10.5.1.
Design Loadings.  In determining design loadings, consider the
possibility of all transmission wires on one side of a support being broken
with wind and ice loading.
10.5.2
Deflection Limitations. Deflection limitations do not normally
apply to supports for transmission lines.
10.6
Responsibilities.  Transmission lines will be specified either in
the BESEP or by the manufacturer.
