Insulation Resistance Tester
4.3.1
General. The insulation resistance tester, or megohmmeter, Figure 4 is used for testing
insulation resistance-to-ground of underground cables (refer to par. 4.3); for testing insulation
resistance between conductors; and for testing resistance-to-ground or between windings of
transformers, motors, regulators, etc.
