QUALITY CONTROL
1.  QUALITY CONTROL FOR CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS, ADMINISTRATION AND
RESPONSIBILITY:
1 . 1 The contract clause titled "Inspection of Construction (FAR
5 2 . 2 4 6 - 1 2 Apr 84)" states, in part:  'The Contractor shall maintain
an adequate inspection system and perform such inspections as will
ensure that the work called for by this contract conforms to
c o n t r a c t requirements."
1 . 3 Quality Control is the responsibility of the Contractor for
the 'Contractor Quality Control system (CQC)," Section 01400 and
"Contractor Inspection System (CIS)," Section 01401.  It's a system
o f planning activities that the Contractor must perform to properly
prepare before beginning a phase of work to ensure that the
accomplished work is in accordance with the contract.
1 . 3 Quality Assurance means the various functions, including
inspection, performed by the government to determine whether a
c o n t r a c t o r has fulfilled the contract Obligations pertaining to
quality and quantity.
