In conclusion, it was found that: (1) we can use geotechnical mechanics
principles to model the soil-structure interaction; (2) we cannot use
boundary restraint, (4) it needs adequate models to compare the results to
assure the accuracy of the analysis; and (5) the last but not the least, that
the analytical results must be checked by experienced structural and
geotechnical engineers.  This is to assure that the results are dependable and
