10.7
A/E Quality Control (Check Prints)
When required by the Appendix "A", the A/E shall submit one set of "check
prints" along with the final submission as evidence that a structured quality
control review of all drawings and specifications has been performed. See the
chapter titled "General Responsibilities of the A/E" for more detailed
requirements regarding execution and submission of quality control "check
prints".
10.8
Changes to Drawings During Bidding
When contractor inquiries during bidding necessitate an amendment requiring
changes to the drawings, or when errors, omissions, discrepancies or other
items requiring correction or clarification to the drawings are discovered
during advertisement for construction bids, the A/E shall be responsible for
making such changes on the drawings. ALL DRAWING CHANGES SHALL BE COORDINATED
WITH THE DM AND MADE ON THE ORIGINAL MYLARS ONLY. MAKING CHANGES ON
SUBSTITUTE MYLARS OR COPIES OF THE ORIGINAL DRAWINGS IS PROHIBITED.
Appropriate change symbols shall be used to indicate the changes and the
"Revisions" block of the drawing sheet must be completed with the required
information, symbols, signatures and dates. If the originals are not in
possession of the A/E, they shall be obtained from the DM. If additional
sheets of drawings are required to affect the changes, additional NAVFAC
drawing numbers must be obtained from the DM. In accordance with the chapter
titled "General Responsibilities of the A/E", changes to clarify drawings or
to correct errors, omissions or discrepancies shall be made by the A/E at no
additional cost to the government.
10.9
Other Drawings
10.9.1
Record Drawings
When required by the Appendix "A", the A/E shall prepare record drawings
showing "as-built" conditions upon the completion of construction. For
detailed requirements regarding preparation of record drawings see the chapter
titled "Post Construction Award Services".
10.9.2
Renderings
When required by the Appendix "A", the A/E shall prepare renderings of the
project. Detailed requirements will be given in the Appendix "A".
