8.28.6.12 Replacing or Adding Pages: Replace or add pages to the
specification only if no other method would clearly convey the intended
changes. For example, if the section contains forms to be filled in or
complex tabular information, text changes could not convey the information.
Additional pages inserted should use a decimal numbering system similar to
that used in subdividing paragraphs. Keep in mind that contract
specifications are generally printed on the front and back of the sheet.
Replacement pages shall be identified with the issuing amendment. Reprinted
unchanged pages will not show the amendment number. Mark blank pages "THIS
PAGE INTENTIONALLY BLANK" when appropriate. Headers on replacement pages
should generally match the replaced page. Nonstandard format footers on
replacement pages should also maintain consistency, such as on the pages of
submittal reports.
