The power requirements of fixed/portable systems vary widely depending on the system
type. Gamma-ray systems utilize a radioactive source to generate the transmission rays, this
requires less power compared to an X-ray system, which generates the x-ray transmission
using electro-mechanical means. Table 7-1 illustrates the potential power requirements.
